St. Nicholas Church

The founding meeting was held March 01, 1917, and the church was incorporated on December 10, 1918 as:  “St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church of Desjarlais”Ö“The unique thing about this incorporation is that since (its) members were Russo Orthodox, Ukrainian Orthodox, and Romanian Orthodox they chose to incorporate it as Greek Orthodox and any clergy of any Orthodox denomination were allowed to serve in the church.”  (from pp. 103, Early Foundations, Willingdon and Area History,1990)
